| One week from today I start moving. It’s crazy to think that the time has already come. It seems like yesterday that I told you all that I was moving. This has been pretty hard on me, especially over the past couple of weeks. We have been trying to purge some of the stuff in our house so we don’t bring it with us. We had our garage sale over this past weekend. We got rid of most of the stuff, but we still have a lot left to get rid of. It has been hot and humid here in PA and living without AC has been making us all cranky and miserable trying to pack up things and bring them down for the garage sale. Fortunately my dad’s company is paying for movers to come but we were surprised to hear how much stuff movers will NOT take with them: no glue, shampoos, candles, nail polish, boxed food, glass containers of food, etc. My dad drove down to Chesapeake this morning (instead of flying) and took down some of the stuff with him and he is leaving them in the car until we settle on Friday. Today is my last day of work (for the summer) and it is sad to be leaving. My coworker bought me a cake as a little goodbye. It’s weird to think that the next time I will be working, I won’t be going back to my house like I normally do. I am happy but very sad at the same time. Having never moved before or been in a new place is something that I will have to adjust to. God has granted me with a couple of people that are very willing to help me get settled down there and into a church, which I am very thankful for. And I am very much looking forward to having my friends come down and visit me this summer.
One of the things my family is struggling with is the fact that my granddad has decided that he will not be selling our house but in fact, moving up to the second floor of our house to live (where my family is currently living). Of course none of my aunts seem to think that there is anything wrong with an 89 year old man living on the second floor of a three story house, all by himself. Already we are having problems with him and his memory, locking himself out of the house and forgetting the code to our garage. A lot of stuff that we had brought down for the garage sale, he wanted to keep, which meant we had to bring it all the way back upstairs. I love him but I have become more and more bitter towards him and my aunts for their stubbornness and not listening to our suggestions that we have offered. Fortunately, my grandmother has been placed in a nursing home so we do not have to worry about her. So please be praying for that situation, as I am not to thrilled about it because I know my aunts will still be expecting me to help him out since I will be up for school in the fall.
To top it all off, I have had some medical problems going on with me. I went into the emergency room back in the beginning of May because I was having severe stomach pain. After spending the night in the ER, and after several tests, they still had no idea what was wrong with me. So the sent me to a GI doctor and I got an endoscopy done. They found out I had several erosions (or superficial ulcers) all over my stomach, not just in one place. So they took some biopsies, but unfortunately, they all came out negative. I went back in to see him for a follow up and told him it hadn’t gotten any better at all. So now I have to have a hepatobilary scan done to test the functioning of my gall bladder this Wednesday. Please pray that everything goes well and that they are able to get the results in time, since I am moving in a week and want to figure out what’s wrong before I move.

| 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks and we close on the house. we move in 17 days. its so crazy. I got to visit the area this week. it is such a nice area. they have EVERYTHING here. its awesome. The beach is beautiful. I can't believe I'm living by the beach. whoever thought I would live by the beach? | | |
